Ellie Kendrick (Game of Thrones' Meera Reed) stars in this emotional drama set on a Somerset dairy farm beset with troubles.
Following the death of her brother, Harry, in an apparent suicide, trainee veterinarian Clare (Kendrick) returns to the farm where she grew up to find the family home in a state of disrepair. Devastated by floods, and troubles with the herd, the property is on the verge of collapse. As Clare discovers the scale of the problem and learns more about Harry's death, she is forced to confront her uncommunicative father, Aubrey (David Troughton). Perfectly acted and directed with complete control of the complex and emotional subject matter, The Levelling provides a rich and rewarding experience.
