A5299164 Bones is a tender 5-year-old black-with-white male Pit Bull whose owners surrendered him to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 9th (we don’t know why). Weighing approximately 50 lbs, Bones is an affectionate, loving guy. He has the cutest tuxedo coat with a white muzzle and chest. Bones is afraid at the shelter - which is understandable given he lived with a family for five whole years and then they left him at the shelter. That’s a bit confusing for any dog. But when his handlers took him out of his kennel he warmed up and liked to follow the dogs around the play yard. He’s nice and social and has a medium level of energy. We’re not sure how he is on leash, as he was so afraid of all the noise in the buildings, his handler carried him on out to the play yard. Poor boy - he needs somewhere safe now! And even though he seemed a little under the weather, he was super happy to greet everyone that came near him to give him attention and pets. He wagged his tail non-stop when people stopped to say hi to him. Bones is a very sweet dog who needs a safe home that will keep him for life as their loyal indoor dog. The shelter recommends that if he goes to a household with children or dogs, the children be middle school aged or older (due to his size) and the dogs be female.
